Made it to Portland!
The weather on Friday was looking pretty crappy throughout the entire northwest, so rather than camping, I headed straight to Portland. Took I-84 all the way. Not a bad drive. *Eastern* (Thanks Tracy!) Oregon really *is* pretty desolate. Not even scrub trees on the hills. The Columbia River Gorge was pretty though.....

That would be eastern Oregon that is rather desolate, as is easter washington, and southern Idaho. Saw you on sportbikes.ws. I'm from Idaho originally (the far more aesthetically pleasing northern Idaho that is) and have bounced around all over the northwest in the last six years. I've been in the Portland area for almost three years now. Hope you like rain for winter, but the summers rock :D
