Traveling On
Thanks to a lot of hard work from Gary & Johnise, we got me packed up. The 5' x 10' x 10' high storage unit was packed to the gills, the PPZJ (grand cherokee) and trailer were fully loaded, and Gary took some stuff back to his basement. It was kinda scary seeing both how little and how much stuff I have.
Claudia & I cleaned up the apartment a bit, and I hit the road yesterday. I drove down to Raleigh, NC, and spent the night with Virginia and Terry Conlon, who is fostering QT for the next year. I think she'll do just fine. They seem to like her, and she seems fairly comfortable in the house. Their cat, Einstien, is less happy - I haven't seen anything of him since QT moved in..... I'm confident that they'll work things out, though.
Today I'm headed over to Highlands. Should be 6 hours or so I'm guessing.
Ya'll take care.
PS - feel free to make comments, and leave feedback. It'd be nice to know that people are reading this stuff.....

I'm reading this stuff...it is pretty cool, tracking your progress. Today is the first day at Baker without you...it is weird but eventually we'll all get used to it! You'll be missed Brian Ray!
Nancy
Oh, we're tracking your goofy butt, have no doubt! Its not NEAR as much fun as being in person and waiting to see what'll come out of your mouth (or what you'll DO), but its what we've got, eh? You're in many folks' thoughts and prayers, well-wishes and sighs. You're getting a shot to do precisely what you want to do when you want to do it. And you are. I envy you, I miss you and I'm proud of you all at the same time.
Hunh?! What's with these crazy people waxing nostalgic and getting all sentimental, hunh?! What areya, a buncha wienies? Nancy, you're not gonna miss the Bloviate Professor? Johnise...uh, DARN! I don't have anything on Johnise! Okay, well, I was a bit weepy myself saying goodbye yesterday. But short of making this departure with a few extra zeros tacked onto his accident settlement, how else would we want Brian Ray to scoot this city? He's a man with a plan, and a good amount of freedom. Fortune shines on him, and may common sense attempt to do so every once in a while too ;}
Claudia
Hee Hee - you are a nut Claudia!
I suppose we all won't miss the long-winded commentaries on, you name it...but he is funny and insightful and added a lot to this little group we have here at Baker. There are many sides of Brian Ray...or "The Professor", or "Chipotle Buddy" or "hey you", or my personal favorite, 'B'
sniff sniff, weep weep!
