Thoughts on Yoga
So I've been taking yoga classes through "The Yoga Project" - http://www.theyogaproject.org/ - All of 4 classes so far, which makes me an expert!
- I'm out of shape and not limber.
- I have body mass in areas that only makes things harder. My gut make it more difficult to take "the childs pose" - sitting on legs, forehead on forearms crossed in front of the knees. What little muscle mass I have in my legs only makes them that much harder to lift in some positions, which only exposes how out of shape I really am.
- Did I mention I'm not limber? Especially my hamstrings and legs, but everywhere else, too.
- While the classes are 2/3 women, they aren't actually throwing themselves at my feet. Hmmmm. Perhaps I need to rethink my presentation or something. Throw myslelf at *their* feet or something. I _tripped_, yeah, that's it.......
- The mix of stretching, working the muscles, and relaxing is very interesting. Not like anything I've done before. Still, I like it, and I intend to keep doing it. And hey, I might just meet one of them wimmen yet!
